I finally broke down and bought a really nice Nikon DSLR camera and tried it out. I want to have my cake and eat it too. I wanted it to take gorgeous pictures in auto mode without messing with the separate lense and all. I seriously needed to take a class to learn how to use it, which I certainly don't have time for. It took a few great pictures, but then, others were not so great. Needless to say, it was more camera than I needed and I returned it to good old Costco. I have another on order (still a DSLR), but a much smaller one...that I'm hoping I'll love. I want to capture these amazing years with my munchkins.

Shea thought that if he made some wings and taped them on, that he just may be able to fly....it was a good thought.

So, Shea tends to obsess over movies and role play. We literally had 9 months of acting out the Lion King. Jackie had to always play Mufasa and Shea would be Simba and cry....you get the picture. Well....now, we're stuck in the Free Willy saga. Shea bought this gargantuan blow up whale that has spent the night in his bunk several times. His name is....you got it....Willy. One day, Shea had his best bud, Owen over to play. Owen went home and told his mom....."Mom....I saw Shea's Willy. It's soooooo big". Owen's mom quickly realized that he was talking about the whale, and not something else. Oh this story makes me laugh!

My silly little girl

I had the honor of attending the Mother's Day tea at Shea's preschool for the second year. He had such a wonderful class this year, and an even more wonderful teacher, Mrs. Cree. We can't wait for Erin to be in her class in a couple more years.

Shea celebrated his summer birthday on my actual birthday. What a proud 4 and 3/4 year old he was!

Erin was so excited to be a part of the celebration.
