My layover just happened to be at the same time that my mom and stepfather were in Kona. They took me out to a restaurant on the beach where we listened to Hawaiian music and watched a little hula.
Our crew got to take Alaska's "J.D. Power and Associates" award for a ride down to Sacramento.
I brought Erin home a hula skirt and a coconut bra (or a "boh rah") as she calls it. Shea got a lei and a stick of sugar cane. He LOVES sugar in any way, shape or form. These kids make some funny faces!

Easter Sunday at Auntie Holly's House....the cousins
Attempting a good Easter photo....
My childhood friend, Jean, was in town for Easter, so we went to join them for the Easter egg hunt in Richmond Beach, my old stomping grounds. It was fun watching the kids hunt for eggs in the same park that I used to.
The egg hunt begins!
All of the kids were grouped together by age. The parents couldn't go with, which made mom a little nervous. All went well and they were returned safely with their loot.
Go Erin!!!
Jackie and I treated ourselves to a mini vacation in our own city. We had such a wonderful time eating, lounging, shopping and being tourists. Papa and Grandma so graciously took care of our little munchkins.
